Dr. James Wang received his Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (USA) in 1991, M.S. from Virginia Tech (USA) in 1987, and B.S. in China in 1982. He has 20 years industrial experience at two major Global Fortune 500 Companies-Chevron and Kimberly-Clark. He is currently Research Technical Leader II at Kimberly-Clark Corporation. His area of expertise is in bio-based/biodegradable polymers, sustainable packaging, sustainable consumer products, polymer processing, reactive extrusion, polymer modification technologies, etc. He has 81 granted U. S. Patents and has additional 30+ pending patent applications, as well as published 32 refereed articles. He served on the grant review panel of USDA’s National Research Initiative on Biobased Products and Bioenergy Production in 2005 and 2009. He also co-chaired several international symposia on biodegradable polymers and green biomaterials. Throughout his career, he has received several innovation awards at Chevron and Kimberly-Clark.
